1/2 c sugar
1/2 c butter
1 egg
1 c molasses
1/2 t salt
2 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
1 t ginger
1/2 t cloves
1 c very hot water
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and molasses, beat. Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Add hot water and beat until smooth. Bake for 40 minutes in a 9x13 pan.
Bake at 325. Try baking it for 35 minutes next year
